No Props
If you’re a heavy smoker, every time you feel like a smoke, take a whiff of your fingers, it may kill your desire to smoke. You may gag, and after a while you won’t want to smoke. It was one of the things I did to help me quit. But you need to keep at it- persevere! If that doesn’t help, then use a patch or whatever works for you. Life is full of all kinds of temptations- occasions of weakness. You need to be strong; keep up the good struggle on a daily basis; moment to moment; from one smoke to the next.
“Don’t lite up that butt!”
You don’t want to replace one bad habit for another, like say chewing gum for butts, candy or food for butts. If you do, then the time will come when there aren’t any of those things, but as it so often happens- there will be butts. So be careful! You don’t need to have anything in your hands; you don’t need to be chewing on anything either. Be comfortable with yourself, without any special effects to prop you up, remember you
were born without them, so you don’t need them. You can have those things, they’re cool, but be sure you aren’t substituting them for smokes. You should be aware of that, if you aren’t then you really haven’t quit, you’re just transferring your dependency. So while your quitting stay away from them.
