A Higher Power
The negatives are the ones that hold us back. It could well be our old settled self; our inner status quo; trying to keep things as they are; not wanting us to make any waves; not wanting us to change- to just leave things as they are. We’re comfy, so why change? This is the time to think it through, this is the one time to think long and hard, make sure you really want to make that change. Habits are hard to break, good ones and bad ones.
So say to yourself: “I’m not all that comfy!”
You really aren’t, otherwise why would you want to quit. We make changes when we aren’t comfortable. When you seek changes in your life, you usually know why you want to make those changes. Sure you already know, but think it through; you want to be sure you want to make the changes; so when you start making them, you’ll be able to deal with those negative objections the brain’s going to send up. You’ll be ready for them. It’s up to you!
The great American Prophet, as he is called by some, Edgar Cayce, in one of his readings said:
“The mind is the builder!”
You can Wiki him for more details, there’s a ton of books on him, but Wiki will give you the short of it. The fact is you have to think it before you can build it or do it. You have to visualize a problem before you can solve it. Some of us are going to need divine help. Prayer helps! The rest can leave it up to that other higher power.
Another thing we need to do is focus. We need to know why we want to quit. Find out why you want to quit.
