Day CXlX

You are the decider

We left it at that, I wasn’t pushing religion then, and I’m not pushing it now either. I figure if God wants you, He’ll call you, after that it’s up to you. Anyway, I learned a long time ago, that the mind is the connection to our spiritual essence, to whom we are. The soul is us! The mind is the place where the thoughts our brain processes surfaces for us to make our decisions. We consciously make the ultimate decision. As one of our presidents recently said:

      “I am the decider!”

Indeed you are! Our brain is like a personal computer, a PC, and we’re on a site with constant pop ups. Sometimes two opposing ones rise at the same time, and we need to be able to discriminate between them- the positive from the negative. When we feel low we’re going to have negative thoughts. If your woman dumps you, you tend to have very negative thunks about her, like doing her wrong or mean, evil, things to her. The ladies do the same thing to guys all the time.

Remember John Wayne Bobbit? He raped his wife. When the courts failed to carry out justice, and give her satisfaction, closure, she executed it herself. She cut it off, she actually cut off John’s wiener…his manhood. These negative thoughts can, and often are taken to extremes. We read in the papers everyday where people do even worse things. By the same token, when we feel up, we tend to have positive thunks. Sometimes too positive, and if not thought out, they can get us into trouble. Remember Ralph Kramden in the Honeymooners.

That sucker was always getting into trouble with his positive, hair brained schemes. Positive thoughts, I believe, are usually concerning new directions we want, changes we seek to make.
