Day CXC


Red's New Chain

     “Don’t worry aboudit, if ya eva comes across anything likey diz again, comma see me foist, okay.” He said as he pointed to the medallion.

     “I didn’t steal it, man…I don tol ya my…

     “Yea, yea yea, ya granny don ga it ta ya.”

      Red reached into his pocket, pulled out a huge a roll of bills, so big that he needed to lean on the counter, and peeled off two crisp, brand new one hundred dollar bills.

     “Hea, na let me have da chain dude.”

     The junky slowly took it off, gave it to him, grabbed the money, and said:

     “Ya don robbed me, man. Det chain is woith mo than dat, an ya na it.” Then he slowly shuffled his skanky ass out of the store.

     It was a heavy chain, and seemed to be worth a lot more than the two hundred dollars. About fifteen minutes later, Gus walked in, and saw Red proudly wearing his new chain.

     “Damn Red, wa ya gits da chain, man?”

     “Oh my old granny don ga to me a long time ago. I don’t likes ta wears it cuz some mofo mite wanna takes it, but I was looking fo sompen in my old jewelry box, saw it da, and membered when she gave it ta me. She said it would proteks me from teeves. So I decided ta wears it tadee, fo good luck, ya na.”

     “How come I ain’t neva seen ya wears it befo, man.”

     “I don tol ya, I neva wears it, dude.”

     “Looks spensive!”

     “How much ya thunk it woith, man?”

     “Hell ida na, boot it’s a thick chain, ana medallion looks heavy too.”

     Gus held the medallion for a moment or so, then looked Red in the eye, and said:

     “Look Red Oi ain’t no expoit, boot it cud be woith ate, nine hunnet dollahs, man.”

     Red smiled, and shuffled behind the counter like a freaking Peacock in heat, as he held the medallion in his hand.

     “Oh lucky day, wat a deal, what a facking deal…oh yeash indee deee deee eeee E!” he smiled as he thought to himself.
