Day CLXXXI

A No Smoking Sign

They made a no smoking sign, and when ever we had gatherings, our guest weren’t allowed to smoke. They had to go out for a smoke. I was worried at first, but they went along with it, and most of them thought it was a great idea. The funny thing is that time flies, and before long you don’t smoke as much, and then one day you just don’t remember smoking at all. Motivation! Family was mine, errr…ours.

I read once that an old guy quit, because he read some where that second hand smoke, could give his beloved dog cancer. He didn’t care at all about his wife or the rest of his family, he quit for his dog. Amazing!

Some people’s priorities are really mind boggling. He cared more about his pooch than his wife. I just cannot wrap my mind around that at all. But we have all kinds of souls on this earth. The thing is that we all need to find our own motivation, be it wife, family, pet, or good health.

One day I was coming home from work, and as I walked through the maze of tunnels down on the Canal Street subway station, in the dark distance I saw a well dressed guy, squatting at the bottom of the stairs to the N train. That badly lit, dark, tunnel was a most disgusting place.

Howe Caverns are up state New York, they’re really a great place to visit. You ride an elevator down to the caverns below, to Lake Venus, a really cool, and wonderous underground lake. The cave is well lit with strings of Christmas lights along its naturally glitering walls, and you see huge stalactites on the ceiling, and along the bottom the stalagmites.
