Day CXLlV

Bloodsuckers

I find that to be a very sadistic irony, because they’re the biggest cheaters, and they’ve made suffering smokers a cash cow. It is morally wrong for them to ride the backs of those who are ill. If the monies were used for medical research, to help smokers, maybe that would make a difference. But it isn’t, it goes right into the general purse, and nothing is done about the suffering. Shame on them! They’re blood suckers…that’s blood money.

People use nicotine to calm their anxieties, to soothe their nerves, it’s a legal nonprescription drug. You get upset, you light up. You get pissed, you light up. Angry, light up. Depressed, light up. From what I’ve seen the mentally ill are big chain smokers. I may be wrong, but every mentally depressed soul I’ve ever ran into was a chain smoker. You’re happy, to celebrate, you light up. You have to wait, so to kill time, you light up. You got fired, light up; got hired, light up. You just got laid, you light up. Any excuse is good reason to light up.

We need to take control. Anxiety is a real bitch, especially in these trying economic times. Every body is tearing up their credit cards, and worrying about their bills with a smoke.
